The I-24 Ohio River Bridge between Metropolis, Illinois and Paducah, Kentucky is down to one lane today as Illinois Department of Transportation road crews work to reinforce the bridge with new bearings.
Message boards and signs will be in place to alert traffic of the closure.
Motorists are advised to slow down and use caution through the area where workers are present.
