House Majority Leader Prepares for Start of Legislative ession
By John Walker and The Associated Press
Kentucky House Majority Leader Rocky Adkins is expecting work to be completed in the next couple of days on committee appointments, including chairmanships.
No major changes are expected, though two positions are open in the House. Former Democratic Rep. Mike Cherry of Princeton retired from the legislature at the end of last year, leaving the chairmanship of the House State Government Committee vacant. Adkins said the appointments will be announced by Friday. The Legislature convened yesterday for a session that is scheduled to conclude on March 26.
