Hopkinsville, KY – The Hopkinsville city council votes tomorrow whether to create a new package of incentives for developers of inner-city housing. Currently the city offers incentives to builders of 15 or more single-family homes in specific areas, mostly on the outskirts of town. The Kentucky New Era reports the new program would extend the incentives to builders of 3 or more single-family homes located in the inner-city area. Upon an agreement to build these homes, the city would sell the property at a discounted price.
