The Hopkins County School System is continuing their partnership with the YMCA to provide meals to local youth this summer.
The school system prepares the meals in their school cafeterias while the Hopkins County YMCA delivers the meals on a specified route via food truck. The school system also operates its own stationary sites in Madisonville, Earlington, Nortonville and Hansen. The program provided nearly 700 meals a day to youth last year. Hopkins County Director of Food Services Michael Dodridge says he expects the need to continue growing. Food service sites and times are online at the Hopkins County school district website.
