City Officials in Martin, Tennessee are holding a grand opening this Saturday for the city’s new farmers’ market facility.
City economic and Community Development Director Brad Thompson says the Tennessee Department of Agriculture awarded the city a $100,000 grant to build the open-air structure. Thompson says there will be around 20 vendors, free coffee, and live entertainment Saturday. Deputy Agriculture Commissioner Jai Templeton will attend the ribbon cutting ceremony. Thompson says the pavilion will serve as multi-purpose event venue.
