A tech giant may be moving into Clarksville, Tennessee. The Tennessean reports Google plans to invest $500 million dollars to a build a data center at the old Hemlock Semiconductor site, creating 70 full-time positions.
According to the article, local officials were scheduled to vote on the deal Monday.
Yesterday, both the city council and the county commission unanimously approved a development agreement between Montgomery County, the county Industrial Development Board, the city of Clarksville, and an Industrial Project Company to establish a facility at 1000 Solar Way in Commerce Park.
Montgomery County Economic Development Council’s Dana Spinella neither the council nor the board confirm, deny, or comment on any ongoing, potential, future, or rumored projects.
