Templar is an engrossing tale filled with adventure, romance and intrigue set during the mass arrest of the famed Templar knights in 1307.  Martin of Troyes, a Templar Knight, sneaks out of his barracks with his two friends late one night, only to return to find that the King of France has accused the Templars of various acts of blasphemy and treachery and has ordered their immediate arrest.  Martin himself is later arrested, but manages to escape. While attempting to avoid the King’s men, he meets up with a bandit and a priest who show him a letter from high-ranking members of the Templar Order that tells of a plan to hide a vast amount of treasure amassed during the Templars’ time in the Holy Land.  Martin and his companions plot a heist to retrieve the treasure, resulting in an exciting story set against a backdrop of a fascinating time in history.  Templar is highly recommended for anyone who enjoys medieval history or anyone who just loves a good adventure.
