Good Read: Every Day by David Levithan
If you're doing some holiday shopping for a young adult or anyone who enjoys a simply good read, consider picking up this week's recommended read, Every Day by David Levithan, from Katherine Farmer, Coordinator of the Racers Children's Preview Collection at Murray State University.
Imagine waking up every day in a new body, a new life, someone else's life. Who would you meet? What would you experience? How would you develop your own identity?
This is what life is like for A.
A is an entity with no gender or physical presence in the world and has no control over who it will occupy next. A must live by a set of rules: never in the same body twice, host much match A's age (16), and stays in a geographic region as long as there are no bodies to occupy. A's personal rules are to not complicate the host's life and not get attached to anyone.
All personal rules in A's existence go out the window, when A meets Rhiannon while in the body of her boyfriend Justin. A makes a connection that A does not want to break.
To find out how A and Rhiannon cope with the constant change of physical form and reality, read Every Day by David Levithan for the answers.
