Executive Inn work runs ahead of schedule

By Casey Northcutt

Paducah, KY – Executive Inn officials expect most of the repairs and cleanup work on the hotel to be completed in plenty of time for next month's American Quilter's Society Show and Contest. The Paducah Sun reports A & K Construction began work on March 10, fixing damage from Hurricane Ike and renovating in general. Engineer Tom Green says they should be finished by March 27 and will then spend the next week adjusting minor problems. Officials still aren't sure how many of the inn's 436 rooms will be ready when quilters check in on April 19. However, they estimate about 40 will be unavailable due to water damage from roof leaks. Officials will find other accommodations for guests who have reserved those rooms.
