Ellis Files Motion to Suppress Evidence

By Chris Taylor

Bardwell, KY – The man charged with burning down the Carlisle County Courthouse has filed a motion to suppress some evidence against him. Jeremy Ellis mailed a hand-written motion to the court claiming investigators should have told him a cellmate at the Fulton County Jail recorded a conversation between them. In the recording, Ellis allegedly tells how he did it. His attorney says the recording only contains allegations and not proof of any wrongdoing. The Paducah Sun reports Carlisle Circuit Judge Tim Langford will hear the motion February 9th prior to his trial which is scheduled the following week.
