Eggners Ferry Bridge Down to One Lane for 35-hour Marathon Concrete Pour

KYTC

The US 68/KY 80 Eggners Ferry Bridge over Kentucky Lake is restricted to one lane until 4PM today in order for contractors to pour concrete for the new bridge.

Motorists through the area should be on the lookout for construction vehicles and traffic delays.

Contractors began pouring some 1,900 cubic yards of concrete early Monday for what will be one of the two main piers of the new Kentucky Lake Bridge.

KYTC plans to do another “marathon” 35-hour concrete pour sometime next week for the other pier.

The lane restriction is in place until 4 PM this afternoon.
