Sheriff's offices in several counties in the region are reporting trees, utility poles and lines down in the wake of Saturday's storms. Flooding issues are being reported region wide. Some structure damages and injuries have been reported.

Multiple tornado warnings went off around the region Saturday evening. The Kentucky Office of Emergency Management said proposed tornadoes have not been confirmed at this time.

Structures have been destroyed due to damaging winds. Local media outlets in Hopkinsville are reporting structural damages in the community.

A line of damage was reported in the south side of Murray, according to the Calloway County Emergency Management Office. There has been some structure damage, but no injuries.

Earlier:

Thunderstorms are forecast as a cold front moves across the region Saturday afternoon into Saturday night bringing moderate to heavy rainfall. Some storms may become severe.

The greatest risk involves damaging winds and flooding rains. There is also a risk of a few isolated tornadoes. Most of the region is under a tornado watch until 9 p.m. A flood watch is also in effect through late Saturday night. Numerous river flood warnings are also in effect.

The National Weather Service forecast approximately two inches of rain on Saturday, with higher amounts possible in some areas. Adding to previous rainfall in the week, this additional amount exacerbates flooding issues. Stay away from flooded areas. If you approach one in your vehicle, turn around and find another route.
