Murfreesboro, TN – A former Tennessee sheriff's detective entered testimony during his homicide trial today. Ron Killings has pleaded not guilty to reckless homicide after his vehicle struck and killed a Hopkinsville girl. The Murfreesboro Daily News Journal reports Killings is charged in connection with the traffic death of 11-year-old Lakeisha White. White was visiting relatives in Murfreesboro when she was killed in July 2008 as she crossed a street. Killings was responding to a call for backup from another officer.
