Datebook: September 19 - Born Learning Academy, ACT Prep, Ghost Walk

The United Way born learning academy is a series of family workshops designed to give parents of children ages 5 and under the resources to turn everyday activities into early learning moments. The first workshop is September 25 from 5:30 to 7 in the Murray Elementary School Library. Childcare and dinner are provided for free. To reserve a spot, call (270) 759-9592. 

Murray State University holds an ACT Prep Workshop at the Hopkinsville Regional Campus on Saturday, October 18. The workshop runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and features extra practice in the English and reading sections of the test. Pre-registration is required at murraystate.edu/actprep.

The Maplewood Cemetery Ghost Walk is tomorrow night in Mayfield. The event features Civil War re-enactors. Tours start at 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. Tickets may be purchased at City Hall or tomorrow at the Gourd Patch Arts Festival.
