Paducah Cooperative Ministry seeks donations for its food pantry to help with its emergency food assistance program. The Murray Walk to Defeat ALS is Saturday morning at the CFSB Center. Registration and a silent auction start at 8, a 5K run starts at 9, and a one-mile walk starts at 9:15. Historic downtown Paducah holds the Sweet September Spruce Up this Saturday from 8 to noon. Volunteers, residents, and businesses are invited to help beautify flower beds and planters. Plants and mulch provided. Meet at the gazebo at 2nd and Broadway at 8 a.m. for instructions and refreshments.
