Datebook: May 28 - Wickliffe Mounds Meeting, "A Tradition of Variations," Charity Golf Scramble

Wickliffe Mounds invites volunteers interested in hospitality, museums, history, archaeology, education, and Native American Indian culture to attend a volunteer meeting this Saturday afternoon at 1 in the Welcome Center. Volunteer opportunities available include ambassadors, horticulturalists, program specialists, and tour guides. 

The National Quilt Museum presents "A Tradition of Variations" from the Pilgrim/Roy Collection, on display through August 17. The exhibit includes antique quilts with unusual and creative use of color, border styles, and patterning. The 30 quilts in the exhibit were made between 1830 and 1940, with the majority being from the late 1800s. For a full list of upcoming exhibits, visit quiltmuseum.org/2015.

The Calloway County Charity Golf Scramble is set for Friday, June 12, at the Oaks Country Club. All proceeds benefit the Kentucky Sheriff's Boys and Girls Ranch. For registration forms, call (270) 362-8660.
