Lonesome George was the last known Pinta Island tortoise, a subspecies of Galapagos tortoise. He was believed to be more than 100 years old at the time of death, young for a tortoise. The Museums of Historic Hopkinsville-Christian County offer a special display of antique radios in the Pennyroyal Treasures exhibit. The tabletop radios, from a local private collection, will be on display at the Pennyroyal Area Museum through the end of the month. Dogs accepted into the study receive free monthly bloodwork, physical exams, arthritic analysis, and a natural medication during the one month study in July.
