Datebook: June 24 - "To Kill A Mockingbird," Twilight Theatre Fundraiser, Middle Eastern Affairs

The Calloway County Public Library hosts a community read of Harper Lee's "To Kill a Mockingbird." There’s a discussion of the book next Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. in the library’s meeting room. To participate, stop by the Circulation Desk to sign up and pick up a free copy of the book while supplies last. 

Twilight Theatre Productions holds a summer fundraiser at Kenlake State Resort Park this Saturday night at 7:30. The event includes a presentation and discussion with Radio City Christmas Spectacular's Santa, Charles Edward Hall. Wine and chocolate are served, and an opportunity for questions follows the family-friendly presentation. Reservations available at (270) 436-2399.

The McCracken County Public Library hosts "Past in the Present: Current Middle Eastern Affairs in Historical Context," presented by Dr. Scott Garrett, Army Command Sergeant Major for Military History and Professor Emeritus of history in the University of Kentucky system.
