Datebook: June 18 - Art Through the Lens, TranspARTation Grant, Dazzling Daylilies

The Yeiser Art Center hosts the annual international juried photography competition "Art Through the Lens.” There’s an opening reception this Saturday night from 5 to 7. The exhibit remains on display through August 1. Admission is free. More information at theyeiser.org

The Kentucky Arts Council invites Kentucky teachers to apply for a TranspARTation Grant. The grant's purpose is to offset the cost of transportation to and from arts venues for school field trips. The application deadline is August 17, and any Kentucky public or private school that supports grades pre-K through 12 may apply. For more information, call (502) 564-3757, ext. 486.

The Western Kentucky Botanical Garden hosts the Dazzling Daylilies Annual Sale this Saturday from 7 a.m. to noon. Walk through the daylilies, visit the gazebo, tour the entire garden, and watch hot air balloons over the garden from 5:30-9 a.m. More information at wkbg.org.
