Datebook: December 29 - New Year's Eve Celebration, Groundhog Day Dilemma, Market House Footlights

The Paducah Wastelanders hold their 9th Annual New Year’s Eve Art Exhibition and Celebration Thursday night from 6 to 9 at the Yeiser Art Center in Paducah. The event includes live music and refreshments. 

Children ages 3 to 5 are invited to a “Walk on the Wild Side” nature program at the John James Audubon State Park in Henderson on Friday, January 8th, at 10 a.m. The series of hour-long interactive programs helps kids discover nature through games, crafts, live animal visits, hikes, and songs. This program is titled “Groundhog Day Dilemma.” Registration is required.

Market House Theatre in Paducah offers a new trimester of Footlights beginning January 9. The classes meet Saturday mornings and are open to kids in Pre-K through 12th grade. Participants in the elementary and middle school sessions produce a play on the theatre stage, while the high school troupe focuses on monologue and acting skills.
