Datebook: December 24 - Christmas Eve

The Yeiser Art Center has issued a call for entries for its 2014 Fantastic Fibers competitive exhibition. The submission deadline is Jan. 25, 2014. Pennyrile Forest State Resort Park hosts a Rook tournament the weekend of January 10th through the 12th. The round-robin tournament begins Friday evening and runs through Saturday evening. Prizes go to the top three teams. Registration is $25 per team. To register, call 1-800-325-1711 or email rebeccae.clark@ky.gov.

The Museums of Historic Hopkinsville-Christian County hosts A Day With Trains Saturday from 10 to 3. Watch as conductors run five trains on two elaborate model train layouts. Also, make a craft to take home at the winter fun craft table. The museum is at 217 East 9th Street in Hopkinsville.
