Datebook: December 15 - "Likeness" on Display, Humane Society Auction, Angel's Attic Donations

An exhibit of paintings by Theresa Pfarr titled “Likeness” is on display in the Clara M. Eagle Upper Gallery at Murray State University. Pfarr’s work explores identity loss and redevelopment through the manipulation of surface texture and paint handling. The gallery is open Monday through Friday from 8 to 4. The exhibit remains on display through February 12. 

The Humane Society of Calloway County’s online auction continues through tomorrow night at 9. More than a hundred items are up for bid, including handcrafted items, jewelry, home décor, and gift certificates from local businesses. Proceeds benefit the Humane Society.

Angel's Attic Thrift Shop seeks donations of clothing, furniture, appliances, household items, and toys. Community donations help Angels Attic Thrift Store fund the Angels Community Clinic, the Gentry House for homeless families, and other local agencies. Bring donations to 972 Chestnut Street Monday through Saturday from 8 to 5.
