Datebook: December 14 - Fresh Start Village, Hospice Training, FAFSA Workshop

The Paducah Cooperative Ministry is holding a capital campaign to finish constructing Fresh Start Village, a sheltered community of residential units for homeless women and children. A donor is matching cash donations up to $150,000 through December 31st. Details at paducahcoopministry.org

The Murray-Calloway County Hospital offers a hospice training program on Tuesday, December 15, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Education Building, located on the corner of Eighth and Maple streets. Anyone interested in becoming a hospice volunteer is invited to attend.

Calloway County High School hosts a workshop on the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, or FAFSA. The workshop is for students, parents, and the public and is set for Tuesday night from 6 to 7. The workshop provides information about student aid, with representatives on-site from the Kentucky Higher Education Assistance Authority (KHEAA), Kentucky Career Coaches, Gear Up, and others.
