The Jackson Purchase Friends of Bluegrass holds its annual Relay for Life Fish Fry this Friday night at the Kentucky Opry. Murray State University's Equine Center sponsors two large animal rescue programs on the MSU campus in May. An exhibit titled “New Quilts from an Old Favorite” remains on display through May 19th at the National Quilt Museum. The exhibit features winning entries in a contest to use traditional nine-patch techniques with a modern feel. There’s also a collection of Antique Nine Patch quilts. More at quiltmuseum.org.
