Datebook: April 21 - Blood Drive, Quilts at Hotel Metropolitan, Plant Sale

The American Red Cross holds a blood drive this Thursday afternoon from 12:30 to 5:30 at First Presbyterian Church, located at 1601 Main Street in Murray. All blood types are needed, especially O negative, A negative and B negative. For more information, visit redcrossblood.org

The Hotel Metropolitan in Paducah hosts a Quilt Show this Thursday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily. The "Quilts of the Lower Mississippi Delta" exhibit is curated by Dr. Nancy Dawson. Also featured are Quilting QuomicKatsyChappell and Dr. Alicestyne Turley, who speaks on "Quilts from the Underground Railroad." 

The Murray State University Horticulture Club holds its annual plant sale this Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon. The sale is held at The Arboretum at Murray State University, located at 300 Hickory Drive. A pre-sale open to Friends of the Arboretum is Friday from 3 to 6.
