Datebook 3/2: Rivertown Reading, Trombone Ensemble, Khachaturian's Spartacus

The Rivertown Reading Series presents poets Jon Tribble and Allison Joseph this Saturday evening at 7 at the Ruth Baggett Gallery in Paducah. Both authors serve as editors of the Crab Orchard Review at Southern Illinois University at Carbondale and have written numerous works of poetry. Admission is free. 

The Murray State University-based trombone ensemble Slide Advantage gives a concert this Sunday evening at 7:30 in the Performing Arts Hall of the Price Doyle Fine Arts Center. The concert features guest artist Dr. Sim Flora on trombone and flute. Admission is free, and donations will be accepted to help fund the ensemble's trip to New York City.

The Paducah Symphony Orchestra presents Pictures at an Exhibition on March 12 at 7:30 p.m. at the Carson Center. The program also includes Khachaturian's Spartacus Suite No. 2 and the fourth movement of Haydn's Symphony No. 45. More information available on the Paducah Symphony website.
