Graves County voters decide  on January 26th whether to allow liquor sales.

County Clerk Barry Kennemore said his office verified 2,373 signatures from the Vote Graves County Wet petition, 152 more than the petition needed.

If voters approve, the measure will allow both liquor by-the-drink and packaged liquor sales. Kennemore said the special election will cost between $45,000 and $50,000.

If the county votes no, supporter Phil Myers said the city petition has around 500 signatures for a Mayfield election to allow packaged liquor sales.
