Data Breach at Kentucky Fish and Wildlife Reveals Customer Info

Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources, Facebook

A data breach at the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife has revealed some customer information.

The investigation is ongoing, but it appears the data accessed were names, addresses, birth dates, phone numbers, email addresses, and the last four digits of social security numbers.

No credit card numbers, full social security numbers, usernames, or passwords were available to the hackers. Licensing information also does not appear to be compromised.

Several other states experienced similar data breaches.

The Kentucky Department Fish and Wildlife is working with those states and law enforcement to investigate the incident.

Customers are encouraged to carefully monitor their credit reports and financial records.
