Paducah, KY – Two Tennessee residents were caught and charged with multiple bank robberies including one in Paducah last December. Police arrested Michael and Nickie Watson on January 30 in Hattiesburg, Miss., after responding to another of their alleged crimes. During an interview, Nickie Watson said the couple had robbed 12 banks since October 2008, including the Regions Bank on Hinkleville Road. Detective David Laird says evidence from the suspects vehicle links the couple to the crime, but local officials will wait their turn to prosecute.
