Conway Blasts Paul @ St. John's

By Chris Taylor

Paducah, KY – Democratic US Senate candidate Jack Conway took advantage of Republican opponent Rand Paul's absence at McCracken County's St. John Catholic Church Picnic over the weekend. Conway blasted Paul for not being in tune with Kentuckians criticizing Paul's position that local government should be responsible for funding drug enforcement and not the federal government. Though Paul was at the event earlier Saturday, he left before the speeches were to take place. The Paducah Sun reports Paul was committed to speak, but backed out last week saying he was scheduled to participate in another meeting, but refused to elaborate on what that involved.
