Paducah, KY – Paducah city commissioners last night approved a new way to pay firefighters overtime and also passed a 4% pay increase for the fire department. Overtime will now be calculated at a reduced rate by not including a state incentive in their base-pay. Firefighters receive over $3,000 a year for completing required training. The 4% raise is supposed to offset the overtime reduction.
