Paducah, KY – Lone Oak Middle School students were evacuated from a bus this morning after a teacher noticed it was on fire. While unloading before school, a teacher saw fire dripping from the bus's engine compartment. All the students were unloaded without injury, but the bus was completely destroyed before responders could extinguish the blaze. A vehicle parked nearby was also damaged. Police say the bus was a temporary replacement for the regular bus, which is undergoing repair work.
