Bridge Lane Restriction Lifted Temporarily
A lane restriction on a Ledbetter bridge undergoing repairs is being lifted for a day and a half starting Friday. The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says the lane restriction on the U.S. 60 Tennessee River Bridge that connects McCracken County to Livingston County will be lifted beginning this afternoon and is expected to return early Sunday.
The lane restriction should then last about three days to allow the contractor to complete deck repairs that will maintain safe traffic flow while construction continues on another bridge upstream. Transportation officials encourage motorists from Smithland who are traveling to and from Paducah to detour via Kentucky 453 and Interstate 24 during peak travel periods.
