Bevin and Foundation For A Healthy Ky. to Announce Medicaid Waiver Partnership

Governor Matt Bevin will announce a Medicaid waiver partnership with the Foundation for a Healthy Kentucky on Wednesday.

Bevin’s office said in a release the announcement will help kick-off a statewide Kentucky HEALTH Partnership Summit.

 

The statewide summit involves businesses, nonprofits and community members providing training and other services to Medicaid enrollees.

 

Kentucky HEALTH is Bevin’s plan to make major changes to the state’s Medicaid program, involving work requirements and establishing a rewards account for services like dental and vision.

 

Foundation CEO Ben Chandler has saidhe wants his organization to help people meet the new requirementsand to not ‘fall off’ Medicaid coverage.

 

The announcement is at 8:30 a.m. eastern time in Louisville and will be live streamed on the Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family Services Facebook page.
