Murray State University is one of four places in America to host a Belizean journalist for a part of the "100,000 Strong in the Americas" initiative.

The initiative's designed to increase educational exchanges between the US, the Americas and the Caribbean.

Hipolito Novelo, reporter for LOVE FM in Belize, along with US Department of State contractor Julie Umstead, spoke to Kate Lochte on what the initiative's all about.

Novelo and Umstead are in Murray through tomorrow interviewing Belizean students on campus. Their cameraman, Brian Castillo, will film student life.

Murray State isn't the the group's only stop; they'll also travel to Washington, D.C., Atlanta and Chicago. Novelo's stories will be broadcast online.
