Hopkinsville Community College is hosting an entrepreneurial conference on March 9. HCC Workforce Development Liaison Lea Martin and Kentucky Small Business Development Center District Director Chris Wooldridge speak with Tracy Ross on Sounds Good about what to expect.
Martin says the event features a local entrepreneur panel on what aspiring small business owners can expect in the region.
It also includes discussions about the resources available for those looking to start a business venture and how to get started.
Wooldridge is presenting one of the sessions, a focus on disaster preparedness. He says disasters aren’t something business owners like to think about, but it’s important to have a plan.
He’ll talk about planning for the worst, how to restore incoming revenue and how to get things running smoothly again.
Matin says other topics include creating a business plan, how to use social media effectively and tips on Quickbooks.
The event is free to the public and kicks off Wednesday, March 9.
