Another Weekend of College Basketball Postseason Play Kicks off Tomorrow

Murray State University

Another weekend of postseason college basketball action kicks off tomorrow.

The Kentucky Wildcats resume play Thursday night in the men’s NCAA tournament. Undefeated UK faces West Virginia in a Sweet Sixteen game in Cleveland.

Wildcats forward Karl-Anthony Towns gives coach John Calipari credit for assembling a group of players who don’t mind sacrificing big stat lines for the good of the team.

“You know, coach stressed to us throughout the whole season that we don’t need just one leader. We can all be leaders and we’re all on the same mission out there and that’s what we do," Towns said. "We just try to win. If we’re all that competitive and we want to win we all come together.”

UK and West Virginia tip off at 9:45 Thursday night. Meanwhile, the Louisville Cardinals return to tournament action Friday night against North Carolina State.

In the National Invitation Tournament, Murray State takes on Old Dominion in quarterfinals play tonight at 6. You can catch that game on ESPN2, or stop by the CFSB Center's viewing party starting at 5.

In the women’s NCAA tournament, U of L takes on Dayton Saturday.
