Motorists planning to drive Interstate 24 through Tennessee this weekend should be on the lookout for detours and slowdowns en route to Nashville.
The Tennessee Department of Transportation will be replacing a bridge at Exit 8 near Clarksville.
Work begins tonight (Friday) at 8 and lasts through early morning hours Monday.
I-24 will be closed in both directions for texture coating, milling, paving, replacing barrier walls and installing pavement markers.
Traffic will be diverted using the on and off ramps at Exit 8.
Officials suggest traveling via US 41 as an alternate route.
