Second Fort Campbell Suicide This Month

Fort Campbell, KY – Reports say two Fort Campbell soldiers have committed suicide this month. That brings the total suspected suicides this year at the base to fourteen. Military officials have declined to identify the victims. But the Clarksville Leaf Chronicle reports 911 logs Monday night indicate enlisted man Jacob Woods shot himself. Responding officers found Woods dead on the scene. The other victim remains anonymous. Local and national army officials continue to work to reduce the rising number of suicides in the military.

New Madrid Seismic Zone may be going dormant

However, a new report released last month says the New Madrid Seismic Zone may be going dormant. "The Great Buck Howard" at Maiden Alley Cinema

Paducah, KY – The name "John Malkovich" and the word "quirky" may be tailor-made for one another, but the southern Illinoisan (he's from Christopher, 20 miles outside Carbondale) never fails to bring a humanity to his roles, no matter how odd. Malkovich gets to indulge his comedic chops in the film, "The Great Buck Howard," with Colin Hanks.
