Pendleton on Healthier Lifestyles

Frankfort, KY – Unless Kentuckians change their ways and adopt healthier lifestyles, State Senator Joey Pendleton of Hopkinsville says the Commonwealth will be at a severe disadvantage when it comes to attracting new business. Swine Flu Cases Declining

Frankfort, KY – H1N1, or swine flu, cases in Kentucky have declined in recent weeks, but state health officials can't predict if the trend will continue. To date, swine flu has claimed at least 36 lives in the commonwealth. State Epidemiologist Dr. Kraig Humbaugh says the infectious disease remains widespread.

"Almost all activity in the state is still due to the novel h1n1 virus. We aren't seeing yet, or detecting, sustained circulating, seasonal flu activity yet. We'll let you know when that occurs."
