Murray, KY – The Janice Mason Art Museum in Cadiz is showing paintings by a west Kentuckian who started the Capital Gallery in Frankfort that has thrived for nearly three decades now. Ellen Glasgow's landscapes are on display there through Sunday, July 29. The painter hails from Paducah and her husband's family roots are in Murray. They traveled extensively due to military assignments. Kate Lochte asks Glasgow about earning her undergraduate degree in art from Murray State.
Murray, KY – The Kentucky House and Senate have been at odds over special sessions this summer. House members are touting the sessions as political moves by the governor, who is seeking re-election. Members of the Senate feel there are some important items on the agenda. The most publicized legislation provides incentives to Peabody Energy Corporation to perform a feasibility study that may ensure the building of a 3 billion dollar Coal to Liquid Fuel plant in the state.
Murray, KY – Baker Engineering and Consulting firm organizer Ryan Link says Thursday's public polling meeting on the Land Between the Lakes Bridges had a better turn out than similar events in Lexington and other big cities.
