Five Students Arrested In Christian County

Hopkinsville, KY – Five Christian County High School students were arrested after an altercation ended with a teacher being struck. Two 17-year-old and three 16-year-old males were charged with second-degree disorderly conduct. One of the boys was also charged with third-degree assault for allegedly hitting the teacher. The students were taken to the McCracken County Regional Juvenile Detention Center in Paducah.

New Kentucky Rx Card Promises No Restrictions

Louisville, KY – A new statewide discount drug card program could save Kentuckians money on prescriptions. The Kentucky Rx Card program launched yesterday. Providers claim the program will procure an average savings of about 30%.

Louisville Chamber of Commerce President Joe Reagan says the program's main focus is helping the uninsured and underinsured afford their prescriptions.

New Regional EM Directors

Frankfort, KY – Kentucky's Emergency Management Director John Heltzel has appointed new regional directors for the Purchase and Pennyrile areas. Benton resident Mark Garland starts work as emergency management director for the Purchase District counties. Vicki Martin of Mexico, Kentucky, in Crittenden County will serve Region two in the Pennyrile.
