Executive Inn Investor Facing Charges

Paducah, KY – The investor looking to buy Paducah's Executive Inn is being investigated for fraud and other wrongdoing. WPSD-TV reports Space Coast Hospitality owner Bill Parsons is facing charges in cases involving hotels in Florida and North Carolina. Plaintiffs say Parsons borrowed money and continually broke deadline deals. Parsons is also behind on raising the money to purchase the Executive Inn. He and Mayor Bill Paxton have said if Space Coast Hospitality can't buy the inn by June 15th, they will cancel the deal.

Local Filmmakers Pool Talent to Battle Drunk Driving

Eddyville, KY – Trends are just that Trends. What worked years ago might not get the message across now. That's what one regional police officer found out when showing a film to students to warn them of the dangers of drunk driving.

"It's my fault, Mom. I mean, there's no way you could have known anything. I wouldn't tell you anything. Mrs. Wilson, you know, you and Eric are certainly on the right track and I think we can stop individual therapy for a while."

Alcohol Sales Debated in Trigg

Cadiz, KY – Trigg County residents have started a group that favors the legalization of alcohol sales. The coalition, called Grow Trigg, says allowing alcohol sales will bring much-needed tourism and tax dollars to their struggling economy. And though group members have a fair share of supporters, they've met stringent opposition from those who say the possible benefits wouldn't outweigh the detriment both fiscally and socially that alcohol sales could bring. Chamber Music Festival of the Bluegrass this weekend
