Stimulus Money to Fund Transportation Projects

Frankfort, KY – Preliminary estimates show Kentucky could receive over 421 million dollars from the federal stimulus package for highway and transportation enhancement projects. But as Carrie Pond reports it is still too early to tell how much of this money will reach Western Kentucky.

Mark Donham on A Prairie Home Companion

Murray, KY – Brookport, Illinois resident Mark Donham's song "As Long as the Stars Shine" was recently featured on A Prairie Home Companion with Garrison Keillor. Last year, the same song won him a slot in the Sunday Night Songwriter's Showcase at Nashville's Bluebird Caf . Mark Welch spoke with Donham about both experiences.

Region's Farmers Try to Recover from Storm

Murray, KY – During the January 27th ice storm, many farmers in the region sprung to action, clearing debris from roads with their tractors and sharing extra fuel with those without gas. Now, in the storm's aftermath, the farmers who helped their fellow citizens find themselves in need of assistance. Carrie Pond has more.
