More snow hits the region

Paducah, KY – Another winter storm warning blankets much of the region this evening. The warning areas stretch from Poplar Bluff, Missouri east to Hopkinsville. The National Weather Service predicts only 4 to 6 inches of snow this time, with a shorter precipitation window. Meteorologist Kelly Hooper says wind is going to be an issue.

String of Robberies Targets Amish, Mennonites

Pembroke, KY – Kentucky State Police are investigating a robbery spree in the Amish and Mennonite communities in western Kentucky. Trooper Stu Recke says investigators are looking into ten reports over the past few days in Todd and Christian counties. The suspects are described as having dark complexions and wearing bandanas or ski masks. Witnesses say they are armed with guns. The thieves have taken money and one firearm. No one has been injured.

Millwood Case Goes to Trial

Murray, KY – A case against a former student-teacher accused of a sex crime will go to trial. A Calloway County judge vacated Drew Millwood's plea agreement today, meaning his case must go to trial. Millwood's attorney Ricky Lamkin filed a motion to vacate the plea, citing a Kentucky sex crime statute which doesn't allow pretrial agreements for this kind of case. The jury trial begins June 15 in Calloway County Circuit Court.

Dunlap trial tomorrow

Livingston County, KY – The man accused of a 2008 Trigg County triple murder and rape goes to trial in Livingston County tomorrow. Competency testing and slow results in a DNA defense pushed Kevin Wayne Dunlap's trial date back many times. Dunlap is accused of the stabbing deaths of three Roaring Spring children and attempting to kill their mother in October 2008.

Weather Service Predicts Snow

Paducah, KY – Winter weather advisories for southern Illinois and western Kentucky will continue through Tuesday. Snow accumulation of between 1 and 2 inches is expected for the area, with 4 to 6 inches possible in counties along the Ohio River. The heaviest snowfall is expected after midnight tonight. Near the Kentucky-Tennessee border, a mix of snow and rain could occur. Crews are pre-treating highways, but be prepared for slippery roads and limited visibility.

KSP Busts Marion Eagles Club

Marion, KY – Two Marion residents have been charged with illegally selling alcohol. 61-year-old David Eskew and 69-year-old Judith McDonald were arrested after Kentucky State troopers raided the Eagles Club over the weekend. Police say they confiscated a large amount of alcohol, cash and illegal gaming devices from the establishment.
