Police Searching for 15-year-old Runaway

Clarksville, TN – Clarksville, Tennessee Police are searching for a 15-year-old girl who apparently ran away from home. Krista Elizabeth Merry was last seen Friday. She took a suitcase and a laptop with her and family members worry she may be with a sexual predator she met online. Krista is described as a 5'5", 140-pound caucasion with black hair, hazel eyes and a small piercing scar on her lip. She was last seen wearing a white T-shirt and gray sweatpants. MSU Gets Ready to Play Vandy

Murray, KY – The Murray State University Racers Men's Basketball team is headed to San Jose, California this Thursday for the first round of the NCAA tournament. At last night's bracket announcement, players heard that they will face Vanderbilt University for the chance to advance to the second round. MSU Coach Billy Kennedy says the Racers are the underdogs in this matchup.

Census in the Mail

Hopkinsville, KY – The U.S. Census is in the mail today as census representatives begin mailing out questionnaires to more than 120 million Americans. Officials say the more residents who fill out and mail back the census, the more money taxpayers will save. It's estimated for every one percent of the population who mails back the Census, the government saves between 80 and 90 million dollars hiring enumerators to go door to door.

New DUI Bill

Frankfort, KY – People convicted of driving while intoxicated in Kentucky would have to pay for the blood test that proved their intoxication, under a bill sponsored by state representative Steven Rudy. Rudy's measure was approved by the house judiciary committee last week. The western Kentucky Republican says sheriffs or other local governments are billed for the blood tests and that's tough on their budgets. Jerry Wagner is president of the Kentucky Sheriffs' Association.

Henry County Finalizes Contract with New School Director

Paris, TN – Henry County, Tennessee, School Board officials have finalized the contract with new Director of School Sam Miles of Springville. Miles is currently an educational consultant with the Tennessee Exemplary Educators Program and has more than 35 years of teaching and administration experience. The Paris Post Intelligencer reports he will take the office April 1. The school district has agreed to pay Miles one hundred thousand dollars a year plus a 600 dollar monthly vehicle allowance. His hiring ends a search that began last July.

Full Body Scan Debuts at O'Hare

Chicago, IL – Barkley Regional Airport passengers going to Chicago's O'Hare airport today may get a sneak peek at the new fully-body scan. Critics call the devices "virtual strip searches," but the Transportation Security Administration says steps are taken to ensure privacy. The O'Hare scan system is one of 150 bought for airports across the country.
