Frankfort, KY – A panel of economic experts agrees with Kentucky Governor Steve Beshear. The state could be facing a deficit of almost one billion dollars. Kentucky Public Radio's Tony McVeigh has more.

Murray, KY – Senator Mitch McConnell stopped by Murray yesterday to tour the new Murray-Calloway Transit Authority's new facility. The senior U-S Senator was honored for his role in bringing nearly 1 point 5 million dollars in funding for construction and expansion projects. The MCTA plans to use the funding to expand bus service to include a wider service area throughout the city.

Frankfort, KY – Last week, the Consensus Forecasting Group took a look at the leading economic indicators, which were generally gloomy. Now, the independent panel of economic experts will crunch the numbers and come up with new revenue forecasts for the next fiscal year and beyond. Governor Beshear will use the numbers to determine the need for a special session.
