Hopkinsville International Festival Celebrates Global Heritage This Weekend

The Hopkinsville International Festival will be held March 7 from 4-8PM and March 8 from 10AM to 6PM at the James E. Bruce Convention Center. Parks and Recreation will host a "Creation Station" where participants can design their own kites. Other festival activities include a virtual Tour de France, multilingual stories, an international pageant, international food vendors, a photo booth, door prizes, and more. Christian County Chamber's Yasamin Ausenbaugh visits with Kate Lochte  on Sounds Good for a preview.

An Update on the Christian County Cares Community Perception Survey

Kate Lochte gets an update on the Christian County Cares project and the results of the 2013 Community Perception Survey with Yasamin Ausenbaugh, Director the program. The survey began in 2005, a detailed project aimed toward community growth. They talk about the goals from the 2010 plan, including developing a better workforce and growing the economy to grow wealth and reduce economy and the response from those goals and how community feedback can continue to improve the area. Dancing, Crafts, Food and Fun at the Hopkinsville International Festival

On Sounds Good, we welcomed Yasamin Ausenbaugh,Director of Christian County Cares 2015. She outlined the events of the International Festival in Hopkinsville at the JEB Convention Center, March 15 & 16. featuring international foods, a global village, international performers from Indian to American, performing Tribal Belly Dance to the Nyama Drum Ensemble. The performers come from the Global Education Center in Nashville. Click here for more information about the festival.
