Crittenden County is moving closer towards achieving Work Ready certification.

Trigg County is one of three more Kentucky communities certified as work ready. 

Kentucky Education and Workforce Development Cabinet Secretary Hal Heiner said in a statement the county is now on the official list of Kentucky Work Ready Communities. 

Kentucky Workforce Investment Board

Two western Kentucky counties have been designated Work Ready Communities In-Progress.  Governor Steve Beshear announced today that community, business, education, workforce, and economic development leaders from each county are developing their workforce by meeting education, skill, and digital literacy benchmarks.

Despite partisan bickering, the lame-duck session two years ago got big things done. Then again, those lawmakers weren't being asked to avert a fiscal cliff.

Kentucky Workforce Investment Board

Several western Kentucky counties are moving toward Work Ready Community status. McCracken and Christian counties have joined Union County in receiving the Work Ready Community in Progress designation from the Kentucky Workforce Investment Board.
