Bardwell city officials are offering a $2,000 dollar reward for information about a suspicious downtown weekend fire. The blaze occurred late Saturday night, burning down four abandoned buildings along Front Street and damaging others. 80 firefighters from eight rural cities responded to the fire.

Calloway County is the third healthiest county in Kentucky according to a new online report from The University of Wisconsin Population Health Institute and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.

The 2012 SkillsUSA Kentucky State Conference is under way in Louisville, and today is contest day for hundreds of career and technical education students from across the state.  They’ll compete in areas like automotive technology, carpentry, masonry, plumbing, electricity and welding.  The students are from high schools as well as community and technical colleges. Winners will compete in the national championships in June in Kansas City, Missouri.
